Paradise Lodge and Bungalows are located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park just 1 km from Lake Louise.

Located near the shores of world-famous Lake Louise in the Canadian Rocky Mountains of Banff National Park, Paradise Lodge & Bungalows is a family run business that has been owned and operated by the Pedersen family for more than 50 years.

The Paradise Lodge & Bungalows has luxurious cabins as well as spacious, cosy suites. In updating the lodge facilities to contemporary standards of comfort and convenience, the operators of Paradise Lodge have not compromised any of the charm of the original facility. Log construction and natural materials are in evidence everywhere to complement the look and feel of the spectacular peaks and forests that surround the lodge.

"We visited the Paradise Lodge & Bungalows near Lake Louise, Banff, Canada towards the end of our honeymoon trip across Canada in June 2005.
We had a suite and it was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and we bought food from a supermarket in Banff which was cheaper than the one near Lake Louise. We used the apartment as a base.
Highlights of our stay in Banff included a white water rafting trip in the Yoho Park on the Kicking Horse River and we really enjoyed the Johnston Canyon trail.
Unfortunately we were a bit unlucky with the weather towards the end of our stay in Banff ... but we found it a great experience and even though we didn't see any grizly bears we did see lots of elk!
Remember to book your accommodation in Banff well in advance.
Banff National Park was fairly touristy and to be honest I found Revelstoke to be more quiet, natural and unspoilt."
G.P. St. Albans, U.K. June 2005

Johnston Canyon Trail was one of the most enjoyable walks we did in Banff ... as you can see from our amazing photos! This is a must. The best time of day to do this trail is in the early evening as it is much quieter as the coach parties have left for the day!

Icefields Parkway

Icefields Parkway were fairly impressive despite the fact that on the day we visited it the weather was miserable, the clouds were low and it started to rain.
