"We visited the Amore by the Sea near Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada at the
beginning of our honeymoon trip across Canada in June 2005.
It is a very romantic bed and breakfast. You must start off your holiday with a
full body massage as it was fantastic. A dip in their hot tub is a must too! I would
love to visit Amore by the Sea again. It is a great escape from the everyday stresses
of working life!" G.P. St. Albans, U.K. June 2005

There is lots to do in Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to go back one day!
Victoria Clipper | |
I arrived in Victoria on a catamaran ferry called the Victoria Clipper. You can
also get to Victoria by Seaplane.
Seattle to Victoria by Victoria Clipper ferry was approx. 71 miles. It took between
2 and 3 hours and was a very smooth ride. The Victoria Clipper had plenty of comfortable
seats and comprised of two enclosed decks surrounded by windows. They have plenty
of room for luggage.
Look out for seals, whales, sea lions and porpoises enroute! |
Victoria, Vancouver Island | |
Victoria, Vancouver Island the locals say is very "English" and being English myself
I would not agree 100%. Don't get me wrong it is a lovely city but I am of the belief
that England is England and Victoria is Victoria. |

Butchart Gardens are tucked into a serene 130 acre country estate on the southeast
corner of BC's Vancouver Island.
Robert and Jennie Butchart converted 55 acres of a former limestone quarry into
a world-famous expanse of beautiful themed gardens.
The Butchart Gardens are still family owned and they are open to the public all
year round. Over one million tourists visit the gardens each year.
The Butchart Gardens were recently named a Canadian National Historic Site.
There is a choice of restaurants, coffee shops and gift shops within the gardens.
In the evenings there is light musical entertainment and the gardens are illuminated.
In the Summer on Saturday nights there are fireworks so make sure you arrive early
as they are popular!
