Hotels in Channel Islands
The Channel Islands include
Jersey,
Guernsey,
Alderney,
Sark,
Herm Island
plus the smaller uninhabited islands of Jethou, Brecqhou and Lihou and islets called
the Minquiers, Écréhous, Les Dirouilles and Les Pierres de Lecq, Burhou and the
Casquets.
The Channel Islands were occupied by Germany during the Second World War (1940–45).
You can still see the fortifications which were built on the island today and find
out about the Second World War by visiting museums and castles located on the Channel
Islands.
Today the Channel Islands are a great place to go on holiday as there are beautiful
sandy beaches for families, stunning coast lines along which you can walk for miles
and lots of delicious restaurants where you can eat freshly caught seafood.
If you are planning a holiday on one of the Channel Islands then there are plenty
of hotels, guest houses and self catering apartments to choose from so please browse
our selection of Channel Island hotels listed below.

Seasonal Weather in the Channel Islands
The Channel Islands form a natural northerly rim to the "Golfe de St. Malo" capturing
the warm gulf stream water and mild westerly airflow between the coasts of Normandy
and Brittany in nearby France.
As a result the Channel Islands have a mild martime climate due to the shelter they
receive from Mainland England (approx. 60 miles to the North) and France. Winters
in the Channel Islands tend to be mild, damp and cloudy however summers are warm,
drier with plenty of sunshine.
Golf Courses in the Channel Islands
There are lots of golf courses in the Channel Islands so its a great destination
for golfing holidays year round.
