The Old Government House Hotel & Spa dates back to 1858 and formerly the official residence of the Queen's representative to the Bailiwick of Guernsey - The Lt. Governor.

The Old Government House Hotel in St Peter Port (OGH as it is affectionately known) retains many of the features from that bygone era although "she" has been sympathetically and lovingly restored to encompass those modern facilities that you would expect in a luxury hotel. The Old Government House Hotel is also unique in retaining a timeless charm and elegance - an oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Our facilities range from our luxurious Renaissance Salon de Beaute, Revolution Spa & Gym, French themed Brasserie and intimate Governor's fine-dine restaurant (arguably the most romantic restaurant on the Island). Our 2 AA rosette cuisine, under the direction of French Chef, Jerome Barbançon, is now regarded as the finest on the Island whilst the hotel has once again been awarded a coveted Visit Britain Gold Award for service and hospitality for the fourth successive year.

King Rooms

King rooms are designed to the highest standard using rich fabrics and have a classical ambiance. A King room consists of a king size bed (that could be made into twin beds), two easy chairs, writing / dressing table and up-lighter. Many of the King rooms have seaviews and a balcony (a small supplement will be charged).

Queen Rooms

These rooms consists of a queen sized bed with many of the rooms overlooking the walled garden and outdoor swimming pool. All rooms have a partial seaview.

Single Rooms

These rooms consist of a double bed for single occupancy, table and relaxing chair. The room rate is per night based on single occupancy and includes full breakfast.

One Room Suites

Our two one room suites are individually styled to suit their location. One offers fantastic views over St Peter Port harbour and the neighbouring islands and a balcony, whilst the other overlooks the hotel gardens with the town and harbour as a backdrop. They both offer spacious rooms with large lounge areas and the extras expected of our best rooms. The king size bed can be converted to twin beds if necessary and the sofa can be converted into an extra bed for a child allowing for a spacious family suite.

Master King Suite

Tastefully decorated and offering a large amount of floor space, these large King rooms consist of a king size bed that can become twin beds and a lounge area that can comfortably seat a family of four. The sofa can be converted into a extra bed for a child if necessary.
